New Year's Eve

We went over to the Walker's house in the afternoon and Grace and I had fun dancing around the house. We went home in the early evening and hung out there the rest of the night. Daddy bought us party hats and horns to ring in 2011 with. What time does the New Year start? 9:00? That is what time we hit the bed anyway! Happy New Year!

Dunn family Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we left Lincoln and went to Atkinson for the Dunn family Christmas. We all just hung out at Nana and Papa's house together. That was nice. It was pretty good weather outside so Papa took us out to the ranch to see if we could get the tractor started. It wouldn't start, but at least we got to see it. Hopefully we can try again this summer. Merry Christmas!!!

Johnson family Christmas

We left for Nebraska on Tuesday, December 21. First we went to Lincoln to celebrate Christmas with the Johnson family. We stayed at Namma's house with her kitties (Tucker and Spoofer--my favorite). While we were there, I got to go to Zander's school for lunch with Daddy and Sabryn spent some quality time with Namma while Mommy got a facial and a pedicure (thanks, Namma) with Aunt Amber. We celebrated Christmas at Aunt Amber's house once with Namma and then the next night with Grandpa Johnson.

Our family Christmas

We opened Christmas presents before we went back to Nebraska. We also asked Santa to come to our house early since we weren't going to be here when he came on Christmas Eve. It was pretty cool getting to open up a bunch of presents before everybody else. I had on my list that I wanted the following: 1) Star Wars action figures, 2) Superman, 3) a new puppy, and 4) movies. I got all of that except for the puppy. Mommy said that we don't always get exactly what we want (darn!). From Santa I got a new tool bench and an easle. Sabryn really didn't have a list, but she got a Cabbage Patch doll, an Itty Bitty American Girl doll, and some clothes. Thanks, Mommy, Daddy, and Santa!!!

Sabryn is 2 months

Today, I am 2 months old. I have grown a lot. I love to smile and I try to stand on my legs.

I recognize Daddy and Mommy and Big Brother and I get so excited when I see them. I am sleeping through the night now. I usually go to bed between 9 and 10 and get up around 5:30. Pretty good!

I had an ultrasound on my hips to make sure that I didn’t have any hip dysplasia. This is because I was breech and transverse before I was born. They looked ok but they want me to return again in January for another look to make sure.

Grandpa Johnson visits

Grandpa Johnson came to North Liberty this weekend to visit. We didn't do a whole lot. We played a lot downstairs together and just hung out. It was good to see him and he enjoyed meeting Sabryn!

Sabryn and her pretty dress

Nana and Aunt Tiff bought me this pretty dress! What do you think? Aren't I adorable?

Thanks Nana and Aunt Tiff!

Aunt Tiff, Uncle Henry, and my cousins came

Aunt Tiff, Uncle Henry, Caden, and Carter came to visit. Nana, Papa, and Uncle Mitch came too! We had a great weekend. We celebrated Carter's 3rd birthday and we played a lot downstairs. We also watched the Huskers play in their last Big 12 Championship game (they lost).

They all thought that Sabryn was pretty darn cute!!

Uncle Rusty and Danielle are here!

Today Uncle Rusty and Danielle came all of the way from Arizona to visit us! We are so excited to see them. They are going to stay with us until Monday so we will have almost 4 days with them! They also brought along Namma. She is going to stay with us so that Mommy and Daddy can go out for dinner tomorrow night with Uncle Rusty and Danielle.

We are going to have fun! Thanks for coming to visit!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We all spent Thanksgiving at our home. It was nice to not have to get into the car and go somewhere over a long weekend. We watched a parade on TV and then Mommy cooked dinner. We had turkey, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, pink salad, and stuffing. Yummy!

Speaking of turkey, I made a turkey hat at my daycare. Mommy says that when I wear it I am officially a "Turkey"! What is she talking about?

Doesn't Sabryn look cute in her Thanksgiving outfit? Her bib says "everyone is thankful for me".

The Little "Hawk-Sker"

Mommy and Daddy are trying to confuse me. Should I cheer for the "Hawks" or the "Skers"?

Sabryn is 1 month

Today, I am a month old already. I am making good eye contact (with a little bit of eye crossing--which drives Daddy crazy), starting to smile, and eating about 3-4 ounces every couple hours. I am still waking up about every couple hours at night, but that will get better. Life is good!

Daddy has to go back to work. (BOO!)

Daddy has had three weeks off of work after I was born. I am so sad that he has to go back to work. I don't think that he is looking forward to it either. I think he has enjoyed staying home and chillin' with me!

Sabryn
