Summer Fun

Mommy and Daddy had a fence put in the back yard. They said that I needed corralled in. I was so sad when I saw the fence that I ran up to it and tried to knock it down. When it wouldn't fall over, I threw myself on the ground and yelled "out". For some reason, while I was doing this, Mommy and Daddy just stood there smiling and said "exactly why we got the fence".

Since that time, I have gotten over this issue and am enjoying summer.

Mommy in Seattle

Mommy went to Seattle for a few days and Daddy and I just hung out at home together. Unfortunately, right before Mommy left, I got sick. Daddy took care of me so I was in great hands. I was happy though when Mommy got back home.

Happy Mommy is home!

Fun with family....

I got to spend nearly a week with Nana, Papa, Uncle Mitch, Aunt Tiffany and Uncle Henry, and cousins Carter and Caden. They came to Iowa to visit and see my new house. We had a really fun time. I didn't even mind sharing my toys with them.

Can you find us all in this picture?

Just an update on daycare

Well, I have been at my new daycare for two days. Yesterday when Mommy and Daddy were dropping me off, we went into my new room and none of the kids were in there yet. I discovered that there were a lot of cool toys there (I actually say that things are cool now). Then all of these kids started filing into the room. I looked at them and politely said "go out". Mommy told me that they were my new friends. When Mommy and Daddy got ready to leave, I tried to hold on to them very tightly. Mommy said that I was climbing up her like she was a tree. I cried (and I am pretty sure that Mommy did too, but she was trying not to let me see her). Then my new teacher (Miss Heather) took me to see the outdoor toys that I would get to play with. I started to think I might like this place. The rest of my day went pretty well. I took a nap from 12:00 until 1:00 and then had to stay quietly on my cot until 2:30 when we could get up. I made it until 2:10, which I thought was pretty good for a little guy. Miss Heather told Mommy that I was a really good helper by picking up my toys.

Today I still cried when Mommy left me (I didn't see her cry today though--Yeh for Mommy). I had a little bit more of a rough morning, but the afternoon went pretty well. I had a good nap and then played some more. I think that I will get used to this new place and really like it. It is just a bit of a change. I will be okay.
